It’s recently come to the attention of the public that the song credits for Ed Sheeran’s hit song ‘Shape Of You’ has welcomed a few new names to it’s listing on ASCAP (An American Copyright Website).

The names are Kandi Burruss, Tameka Cottle and producer Kevin Briggs who all played a part in the TLC hit ‘No Scrubs’. The coincidence is that recently a lot of people have been making the connection between the two songs and the fact that they sound awfully similar.

If you need a little proof check out this mash up cover below.

It definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed or unappreciated by the crew behind ‘No Scrubs’ with Kandi Buruss even posting a public thank you to Sheeran and celebrating the fact that they have been made a part of the songs massive success.

Ayeeee! Ed Sheeran “Shape Of You” Blessed.. @kandi 👑🤑

Good to see that Ed has tried making amends immediately by not wasting anytime to get the names acknowledged. He’s obviously learnt from experience, as he is still going through a legal battle in regards to accusations that ‘Thinking Out Loud’ has copied key parts from Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’. Also let us not forget he was also sued for his single ‘Photograph’ in 2016.

Ah well, we’ll forgive him I mean it is Ed afterall, so how could we not?
