One of the biggest stories ahead of the 2017 CFL season has been the signing of 2 x NFL Pro-Bowler, Vince Young, to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. After starting three regular season games with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, Young spent the next three years trying and failing to make a 53-man roster in the NFL before taking a break from professional football… until now!
Since signing with the Roughriders in March, Young has been hard at work training for his professional return to football. In the above promo video released yesterday, Young talks in the second person about knowing what it takes, working through the pain, and making them remember, before the video closes with the words “Legends never die.”
While Young will have to fight for the starting QB role at the Roughriders I think it’s safe to say everyone is hyped to see if he can blow off the dust and live up to the expectations set by his lofty college career.
